He provides a sincere and authentic voice for those who have dealt with common societal inequalities within their lower-to-middle-class lives. He conveys with humour and poignancy the feelings of regular people living haplessly, e.g., dealing with layoffs, unrealized dreams, or even just everyday concerns.
