Dear Readers.
On Thursday, I will post another new story entitled “Nouveau Flaneur.”
“Nouveau Flaneur” is the stand-alone opening to my novel-in-progress, tentatively titled Nouveau Flaneur, a slipstream, neo gothic, locked-room mystery (all terms that Anita claims she has heard ad nauseam in the last few years, lol). While I still have a long road ahead of me, I like the novel so far and I hope that the post will be a good read.
In the meantime, I would like to thank once again everyone who has been reading my stories. Joining Substack has finally allowed me to begin developing an audience for not just my previously-published work but my newer stories which, until now, have been collecting dust.
For those who have recently joined me here, please note that I have posted seven stories so far including the 1985 Toronto Star Short Story Contest winner, “Marathon Man”. I hope you will give all of these stories some of your time.
Next week’s offering will be “The Drifter,” originally published in my collection, Mahoney in Control.
Happy reading!
